The Skelton Cemetery

We have been presented with an opportunity, that I for one would like to get involved with. In the City of Fayetteville, there is the Skelton Cemetery, my understanding not far from down town. It needs a lot of help. There are less than 30 graves there in a fenced off area. The site is actually 2 acres, but, out side the fence a lot of it is hit and miss toward finding graves. The current though is that most of those graves were slave graves. Anyways there is a confederate buried there....

Wreaths on the Confederate Graves in Elm Springs

December 9th may become a busy day, but…. Would love to see as many as possible participate.

That morning we are placing wreaths on the Confederate Graves in Elm Springs. I has ask Paul Gramling and his wife Ms Lynda to join us. Afterwards we will go to the Confederate Cemetery for Paul to see. Paul is our national Lt Commander in Chief. This will be a great opportunity for you to meet him and for him to see some of the things our camp is do...

Bill DEGGE got Two National Awards Graves Award and the Heritage Defense medal.

Elm Springs Cemetery clean stones

I am officially wore out. We had 25 people show up to clean stones in the Elm Springs Cemetery. We had people there representing the Confederacy, the Union, one local tv station and several interested people. We hit a home run. I am very very proud of those men from the Fontaine R Earle camp who were able to come out and participate in this project as we honored these men. I will post pix, more details etc, after a small nap. I am so so proud of all that participated.
